Beastro is a unique combination of genres that looks like a delightful cosy game heading to PS5.

Developed by Timberline Studio, the game doesn't yet have a date, but it's coming "soon" to Sony's console.

You play as Panko, a chef who runs a restaurant in the village of Palo Pori. It's your job to feed your customers, including the powerful Caretakers who protect the settlement from danger.

The game blends together various ideas; you'll be farming and gathering your own ingredients, playing cooking mini-games as you make your dishes, and feeding Caretakers meals to suit their specific tastes.

On top of that, you'll engage in turn-based battles starring these Caretakers, using cards unlocked by the things you give them to eat in your restaurant.

It's a lot to chew on, but it certainly has a whimsical charm to it. We'll have to wait and see if all its different flavours come together nicely.
